Anyway, I am very touched by your reflection on last year and the comment about a wish for the new. The excerpt from the poem is, oh so true! I hope that 2010 is a better one for you and your boyfriend. I am just so amazed that you managed to get through last year in the incredible way that you did. And yes, I agree that even though we would not wish these profound and difficult experiences, they do strengthen us, make us revalue what is important in life and give us greater insight into other people's worlds.
